Britney’s back! In court that is. Britney Spears arrived at the Los Angeles County Court House early this morning for the latest chapter in her custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline.
But unlike previous court appearances, it seems this time around Brit’s got her act together. She was apparently on time and has remained at the courthouse since arriving, waiting for her case to be heard. And although there is a definite paparazzi presence, today’s scene outside the building isn’t the kind of frantic media panic we’ve seen at past court dates.
No doubt wherever Britney Spears goes, cameras will follow, be it gas stations, Starbucks or Superior Court. But as Brit’s toned down her antics and refocused herself on her career and well-being, the paparazzi and news outlets don’t have as much use for constant Britney coverage. No wigs, gurneys, public tantrums, helicopters and pregnancy scares make Britney a dull girl.
But it does make her a better actress, singer and mother. Perhaps Los County Court Commission Scott Gordon will take note of that this afternoon. Not only has Brit stayed out of the kind of headlines she used to make, she’s actually managed to generate some good news with another appearance on the hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.”
Britney Spears taped her second guest spot on the CBS sitcom last week and the episode is slated to air on May 12, just in time for sweeps.
As for today’s proceedings, sources say Commissioner Gordon will be taking a look at one of Britney’s recent psychiatric evaluations and may reconsider the terms of the current custody situation. Both Brit and K-Fed are at the courthouse, which considering past appearances or lack thereof, is a major improvement. Here’s hoping Brit’s good behavior gets her some more face time with her two sons.
