Photos were recently revealed that show Britney Spears in costume for the video–and viewers will soon be privy to watching the singer don three different looks…because apparently that’s what it takes to really drive the point home that you don’t like men who cheat, while lip synching and doing a synchronized dance routine.

In her first costume, Britney Spears appears to be dressed as herself and dons some sexy lingerie. In the second, the singer channels her inner naughty secretary, wearing a short black wig and a zebra print top. For her third look, Spears gets in touch with her inner dominatrix, wearing a whole lot of leather and some spiky bangs. The leather look fits into the part of the video in which Spears pretends to be a bartender in a swanky bar.

The video is set to premiere on Friday, on ABC’s 20/20. Sure, we’re in the midst of perhaps the biggest financial crisis and presidential election in history, but the real news is definitely the premiere of Britney Spears’s new video.

While we’re psyched that Brit has a new video, and seems to truly be pulling off this comeback of hers, we can’t help but wonder if enough time has passed to ensure that this multi-Spears-themed video won’t trigger memories of darker times. It was not too long ago that Britney Spears (not in a video), was cruising around town in a cheap pink wig, speaking in a British accent and leaving many worried that she was suffering from a serious personality disorder. On the other hand, perhaps this is the best move that Britney Spears can possibly make–now she can say to the world, “I’m wearing a wig, and I totally know that it’s not my real hair.”

In court that is. Britney Spears arrived at the Los Angeles County Court House early this morning for the latest chapter in her custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

But unlike previous court appearances, it seems this time around Brit’s got her act together. She was apparently on time and has remained at the courthouse since arriving, waiting for her case to be heard. And although there is a definite paparazzi presence, today’s scene outside the building isn’t the kind of frantic media panic we’ve seen at past court dates.

No doubt wherever Britney Spears goes, cameras will follow, be it gas stations, Starbucks or Superior Court. But as Brit’s toned down her antics and refocused herself on her career and well-being, the paparazzi and news outlets don’t have as much use for constant Britney coverage. No wigs, gurneys, public tantrums, helicopters and pregnancy scares make Britney a dull girl.

But it does make her a better actress, singer and mother. Perhaps Los County Court Commission Scott Gordon will take note of that this afternoon. Not only has Brit stayed out of the kind of headlines she used to make, she’s actually managed to generate some good news with another appearance on the hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.”

Britney Spears taped her second guest spot on the CBS sitcom last week and the episode is slated to air on May 12, just in time for sweeps.

As for today’s proceedings, sources say Commissioner Gordon will be taking a look at one of Britney’s recent psychiatric evaluations and may reconsider the terms of the current custody situation. Both Brit and K-Fed are at the courthouse, which considering past appearances or lack thereof, is a major improvement. Here’s hoping Brit’s good behavior gets her some more face time with her two sons.
